Rename Network Neighborhood The Network Neighborhood desktop item lets you access any local area network (LAN) resources attached to your computer. These resources can include shared disk drives, printers, and modems. Check with your network administrator to find out what LAN resources are available. You may wish to personalize this item by changing its name to a title of your choice.   Desktop Item Name To rename the Network Neighborhood: Type a new name in the Desktop Item Name text box. Or, Click Default to return this setting to normal. Click Restart to restart Windows.
